conshy.com started in 2004 as an experiment in running a local website and as a learning experience in search engine optimization. I have collected quite a bit of data over the years about what people are searching for and finding in Conshohocken. If you do some research you will find SEO companies charging as much as $300.00 to set up clients on local searches. Hiding behind the initials MTE is a guy by the name of Mark and that would be me. Starting with computer classes in college in 1979, the BBS world in the mid 80's, internet on a shell account in 1991 and on to witness the birth of the world wide web in 1995. I had my first geocities web page in 1997 to announce the birth of my daughter. In 1999 and 2000 I single-handedly ripped apart and repaired 600 computers for The Children's Project 2000. And in 2001 I started my own websites, more as a hobby and a learning experience. In my day job I was doing QA Engineering for a website with 400,000 daily hits but at the same time I would get excited if 4 people signed my guestbook in a single day. I am still doing Quality Assurance work today with detailed testing and analysis for multi-million dollar eCommerce sites.
